For workshops marked with an asterisk *, accompanying adults will be charged. This is due to the limited capacity of our workshop space and the high demand for these activities. Chiddlers' Hour Tuesday 1 April 10am to 11am For 0-3 years: come for songs, craft and play based on the story of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Squash and biscuits provided. £2.50 per chiddler or £12 for six sessions; please book in advance.
Discover Dahl's archives Saturday 5 April 12.30pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm For 10+ years: A behind-the-scenes look at our archive store which houses Roald Dahl's manuscripts and letters, with Collections manager and archivist, Rachel White. Free for Museum visitors.
Hello Your Majester Sunday 6 April All day For all ages: join in our colouring activity to celebrate English Tourism week. Create a postcard showing the historic moment when the BFG meets the Queen as she pops her head out of her Buckingham Palace window. Free for Museum visitors.
Fizzwinkling Flowers Tuesday 8 April 10.30 am to 11.30am For 6+ year olds: create your own diddly daffodil or twitch-tickling tissue paper tulip to celebrate Spring. £2 per participant.
*Revolting Rhymes with James Carter Tuesday 8 April 12.30pm and 2pm For 5+ years: come for a chuckle with poet and wild guitarist James Carter. Hear such mischievous poems as 'How to turn your teacher purple' and 'is your teacher an alien?' and write your very own revolting rhyme! £3 per person.
Buzzwangling Egg Boxes Wednesday 9 April 10.30am to 11.30am For 6+ years: decorate a buzzwangling box in which to hide your precious Easter eggs. £2 per participant.
*Mark Lowery talks pants! Wednesday 9 April 12.30pm and 2.30pm For 9+ years: we are delighted to welcome back Mark Lowery, shortlisted for the Roald Dahl Funny Prize 2013 for his buzzwangling book, Pants are Everything. Expect lots of laughter and irreverent silliness – and find out how to tell good stories, too! £3 per person.
Twit Mugs Thursday 10 April 11am, 1pm and 3pm For 6+ years: decorate a ceramic mug with Mrs Twit's latest tricks and take it home to fill with delumptious or disgusterous drinks. £3 per participant.
Bogswizzling Cloth Bags Friday 11 April 11am, 1pm and 3pm For 6+ years: create a crackling cloth bag by decorating it with fabric paint. Will you make a book bag for Matilda, or a mischievious swag bag for Mr Fox to keep his chickens in? Or best of all, a bag for all your chocolate eggs. £3 per participant.
Wondercrump wildlife Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 April All day For all ages: come and get crafty with The Wildlife Trust. Find out about the living landscapes around Buckinghamshire, the inspiration for many of Roald Dahl's books. Free for Museum visitors.
Swishwiffling Spring Gardens Tuesday 15 April 11am, 1pm and 3pm For 6+ years: create a miniature Roald Dahl garden, complete with his Writing Hut. Who will be hiding in the undergrowth? Maybe Fantastic Mr Fox or one of James' insect friends? £3 per participant
Buzzwangling Bug Jars Wednesday 16 April 10.30am to 11.30am For 5+ years: create a bugwhiffling bug-house using a jamjar; perfect for observing creepy crawlies! £2.50 per participant.
*Telling Tales with Sandra Agard Wednesday 16 April 12 noon and 2pm For 4+ years: come and join in with some wondercrump storytelling for all the family with storyteller and writer Sandra Agard. We defy you not to love books after attending this session! £3 per person.
Farmer Boggis' Chicken Farm Thursday 17 April 11am, 1pm and 3pm For 6+ years: listen to some storytelling from Fantastic Mr Fox, and make a cheepy chick topper and clucky chicken bookmark. £2 per participant.
George's Marvellous Chicken Pots Friday 18 April 11am, 1pm and 3pm For 6+ years: make a clay pot in the shape of a chicken, ready to store lots of eggs inside. Listen to some storytelling from George's Marvellous Medicine. £3.50 per participant.
Dory-hunky ducks' nests Saturday 19 April 11am, 1pm and 2.30pm For 6+ years: get inspired with some storytelling from The Magic Finger and create a propsposterous paper plate ducks' nest collage. £1.50 per participant.
Easter trail Sunday 20 April All day For all ages: follow the egg pictures to find out fantabulous facts about the Museum and win yourself a tasty treat. Free for Museum visitors
