For 10+ year olds: A behind-the-scenes look at our archive store which houses Roald Dahl’s manuscripts and letters, with Enquiries Archivist, Jane Branfield.

Althorp Literary Festival at Althorp, Northamptonshire
Saturday 14  and Sunday 15 June

The Museum is hosting the new children’s section of this annual literary festival.  There will be workshops with top author Anthony Horowitz, The Edge Chronicles creators Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell and a performance of A Taste of Dahl by Anthony Pedley.

Revolting Rhymes: a family concert in the courtyard
Thursday 19 June
Museum open from 5.30pm, performance 6.30pm – 7.20pm
Join us for a fantabulous outdoor concert featuring Roald Dahl’s version of ‘Cinderella’, performed by actress Geraldine James (subject to availability), The New London Children’s Choir and an ensemble consisting of some of the UK’s most promising young musical talent. Bring your cushions (and umbrellas). Picnics available to order from Café Twit, call 01494 865192 to discuss your requirements.

The Three Little Pigs
Saturday 21 June 1.30pm to 2.30pm and 3pm to 4pm
For all ages: enjoy Roald Dahl’s version of this classic fairy tale and make your own three little pigs, their houses and a big bad wolf to eat them all up!
£2 per participant.

Sunday 22 June 2.30pm to 3.30pm
For 6+ years: join Tiffany Crouch, head chef at Café Twit to make Plushnuggets from The Giraffe, the Pelly and Me and Mr Wonka’s flavoured fizzy lifting drinks.
