World Book Day Party

Come to our after-school party to celebrate World Book Day and the launch of the Fantastic Mr Fox DVD. Dress up as s book character, exchange your World Book Day voucher in our Shop and join in with Foxy party games, storytelling and crafts.

For 6+ years: Follow Roald Dahl’s green-fingered example and make cress-heads to take home and grow. Listen to extracts from The Twits, to inspire you.

For 10+ years: A behind-the-scenes look at our archive store which houses Roald Dahl’s manuscripts and letters.
FREE for Museum visitors.

Down in the jungle
Saturday 14 March 1.30pm to 2.30pm and 3.00pm to 4.00pm
For 5+ years: Discover the creatures lurking in some of Roald Dahl’s poems and make your own animal print to create a truly terrifying picture.

For 6+ years: Join Tiffany Crouch, head chef at Café Twit to make Lickable Wallpaper and chocolate orange whizzpopper drinks.

For 6+ years: Paint your own diddly design onto a bowl to take home and use whenever you feel the need for a whipplescrumptious treat.
