Wychwood Music Festival

The Roald Dahl Museum is delighted to be invited to participate in the fun at this year's Wychwood Music Festival. Wychwood is a very family friendly festival, they have been nominated Best Family Festival at the UK festival Awards three years running.

As always there will be a vast array of music film and comedy on offer as well as workshops for kids and adults, wandering circus performers and a lending library.

The Roald Dahl Museum will be providing riotous laughs from our hilarious storytellers as well as wondercrump creative craft activities...so come and see us!

The Museum is delighted to be hosting the new children’s section of the prestigious annual Althorp Literary Festival, held in the beautiful grounds of Althorp in Northamptonshire, the Spencer family’s historic home.

 

REVOLTING RHYMES AND DIRTY BEASTS
Drop-in storytelling and crafts sessions

Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 June: over lunchtime
Come along and help The Roald Dahl Museum’s very own Oompa Loompas to do some noisy storytelling from Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes and Dirty Beasts.  You might also get quite revolting and dirty yourselves (don’t tell the grown-ups), joining in with messy mask-making and other craft activities.

Come and meet co-authors Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell (also the illustrator), and hear about how they created their brilliant fantasy-adventure series, The Edge Chronicles.  How did they come up with all those amazing characters and places?  Which came first, the words or the pictures?  How do they work together and do they ever argue?
