Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Celebration

Saturday 2 December

Book today
Join us to celebrate the start of our Wondrous Wonka season! Head through our chocolate factory gates to enjoy the Museum at Christmas time.

Willy Wonka will be opening our gates at 10am and the first five children to enter will receive an extra-special goodie bag, in fact every child who visits will get a small chocolate treat.

Take part in drop-in crafts to make your own Christmas sweetie decoration, add your creation to our Christmas tree or take it home for yours. Listen to storytelling from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory or pick up a chocolate-themed trail to help you explore the Museum.

Head upstairs to our pop-up Chocolate Factory where you can stack factory boxes and try out some Wonka-themed activities. You’ll also find out more about all the Wonka-related secrets in the archive – but shhh, don’t tell anyone!

We’re also inviting visitors to make their own Wonka-inspired hats to bring with them on the day. We’ll pick the best during a hat parade at 11.30am and 2.30pm – with Wonka-tastic prizes for the winners!

You can also head out of the Museum on some special Wonka Walks, find out more here.

So don’t diddle-daddle, get your tickets before they’re gone!

Tickets are selling fast for this event – please do book in advance if you’re planning to come to avoid disappointment.
