Sensory Summer Saunter at 11.30am.
Join us on a fun guided walk into the fields and woods! You’ll explore the scenery with your senses and discover some of the places that inspired the stories. This laid-back walk will help you get a big dose of outdoor fun. You’ll be led by your guide, Michael, and a member of the Museum’s Learning team.
This walk will take place on narrow pavements, tarmac road, uneven footpath surfaces, through fields and woodland. Please wear suitable walking shoes (no flipflops) There could be mud. The paths are not heavily overgrown but there might be nettles and brambles to avoid. The walking on this trail is fairly flat but there is a hill – to get a great view – and then a downhill bit. There is no seating on this walk but we take our time and stop for breathers on the way.
Access: The walk takes participants out into the countryside around GM and is not wheelchair accessible and is unsuitable for buggies.
£5 per participant (carers free), approx. 45 minutes to an hour.
If you would like more information about the route please email learning@roalddahlmuseum.org
