Calling all Matilda fans! Get set for a summer to remember. We’ll be celebrating the book throughout the summer holidays with a whole host of workshops, walks and activities.

- Matilda storytelling from our expert storytellers
- Crunchem Hall playground games including Matilda V Trunchbull Connect 4
- Matilda’s Missenden Trail to pick up and explore the village
- Matilda gallery trail and drop-in craft activities
- Hands-on water play in the courtyard
Don’t forget that you Museum admission includes entry for 12 months, so you can come back and enjoy the Museum time after time!

Family Writing Workshop with Will Burns
Thursday 7 August
Don’t miss this extra-special family workshop. You’ll be under the expert guidance of local poet Will Burns as we head out of the Museum into the local countryside that inspired Roald Dahl. After lots of fun activities you’ll end up with a family poem to treasure for years to come.
Titchy Superheroes
Wednesday 13 and Thursday 28 August
Special workshop session just for under 5s. Packed with storytelling and play based on Matilda, and finishing with a Bogtrotter cake smash!
