Disgusterous Clay Dinners

Thursday 22 to Friday 30 October

Book today
Take a tip from the Twits and make a clay version of some gruesome grub!

Be inspired by the story of The Twits, which features two grouchy people who like to play tricks on each other. Mrs Twit even hid worms in Mr Twit’s spaghetti! You’ll learn from your session leader about all of the tricks in the book — as well as some tricks Roald Dahl played real life!

You’ll use this to inspire your own clay plate. We’ll help you come up with ideas of your own then you’ll make it out of clay, which you can decorate with clay shapes and other interesting materials. Best of all, we’ll do the cleaning up!

Will you hide birds in the pie or worms in the spaghetti?

For age 5 and over.
£5 per person in addition to Museum entry

Under 16 need to be accompanied by an adult

Workshops last about 45 minutes and you’ll be provided with all the resources and equipment you need. The clay is air-drying so you’ll be able to take it home with you on the day. Adults are welcome to help children with their creations, or pay to make their own — go on, you know you want to!
