Meet Miss Trunchbull

Saturday 21 March

Book today
Come face to face with Agatha herself, as she parades around the Museum to ensure everyone is behaving.

Miss Trunchbull returns to the Museum by popular demand! Join us for one of our special Trunchbull days, where Miss Agatha Trunchbull will be roaming around the site at various points in the day.

Will she pose with her nemesis Matilda, measure up against the other Roald Dahl characters or put her feet up in Roald Dahl’s chair? If you’re well behaved, she might even let you take a picture with her. Why not come dressed up as Matilda or Bruce?

Miss Trunchbull will be making appearances at 10.30am and 1pm.

What else is happening?

Storytelling. You can also enjoy Roald Dahl storytelling throughout the day from our expert storytellers. These take place throughout the day, no need to book just turn up to a session.

Drop-in crafts. Head to George’s Crafty Kitchen for craft sheets galore! Using colouring pencils, paper and decorations. You could even make your own miniature Roald Dahl Writing Hut.

Museum Trails. Pick up your free trail to explore the galleries and find out fascinating facts about Roald Dahl’s books.

All of the above are FREE with Museum admission!

The Filling-Station will be open for hot and cold drinks, snacks and sweet treats all day, many of which are sourced from fabulous local suppliers.
