Join us for our Foxy Family Storytelling and dig into Fantastic Mr Fox’s deep roots in the local countryside.  Wander into our Wondrous Woods where our expert storytellers will bring scenes to life with plenty of actions and props, as well as the chance for audience interaction. On top of this, you’ll also get to hear a top-secret passage from Roald’s drafts that inspired the closing scene of Wes Anderson’s film adaptation of Fantastic Mr Fox.

While you’re here, drop in to our pop-up LEGO® making room and create your own marvellous animal. From fantastic foxes to Muggle Wump the monkey, there’s something for everyone to build. If you’re feeling extra creative, simply use the LEGO to create your own awesome animal. Once you’re done, break it all up for the next person to play!

Finally, pick up one of our museum trails to discover the Roald Dahl sites of Great Missenden! You can explore the woods that inspired Roald Dahl to write the book, and later Wes Anderson when making the film. Come back to the Museum and cool down with an ice cream or a splash with our water play table.
