SEND Explore Your Way Relaxed Day

Explore your way on our special relaxed day! Great for visitors with SEND and their friends and families. Museum sounds will still be turned on but visitor numbers on this day will be reduced to help everyone experience the Museum in a more relaxed environment. Enjoy sensory storytelling where Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will be bought to life with visual prompts, objects, sound, movement and smells. SEND resources including Explorer Kits and Quiet Space Kits will be available to borrow for free.

Goodies and Baddies Clay Creations workshop at 10.30am, 12pm, 1.30pm, and 3pm
Enjoy a relaxed, reduced capacity workshop and make and sculpt a couple of characters out of clay, one big baddie and one small hero! Just like Miss Trunchbull and Matilda. Take time to play with the clay, then mould and shape it into your figures.

Marvellous Matilda Walk at 11.30 and 2pm
Go for sensory stroll around the village of Great Missenden with our expert storyteller guide. See some sights that inspired the story of Matilda, listen to stories and use your senses as you explore.
