Sunday 15 June

Book today
Join us for family Father’s Day Walk with a difference with homemade cake and speciality tea and coffee on your return.

Treat Dad to a walk in the woods, with cake and coffee after! The perfect activity for kids and adults alike. Head off into the woods that inspired so many of the stories with your storytelling guide, Michael.

On the way you’ll learn about Roald Dahl’s love of the countryside and listen to extracts from the book.  You’ll discover how the places you explore inspired books such as Fantastic Mr Fox and Danny the Champion of the World. You’ll receive your very own ‘Danny’s Book of Nature’ booklet and use it to spot signs of nature as you roam.

At the end your walk Michael will lead you back to the Museum where there will be homemade cake and a drink to enjoy!

For age 6 and over.
£10 per person plus Museum entry

The walk leads you out of the Museum along pavements past the old, characterful buildings of Great Missenden.  We walk up to Angling Spring Wood and along paths that might be muddy. There is a steep section in the wood. Please bring appropriate sturdy footwear.

The walk lasts about 50 to 60 minutes.
