Santa at the Roald Dahl Museum

Father Christmas will be making appearances in the Museum galleries throughout the day. Will he pose with Matilda, measure up against his favourite Roald Dahl character or take a break in Roald Dahl’s chair? One thing’s for certain, you’ll be able to come and say hello and pick a free chocolate treat.

Join in with storytelling from one of Santa’s helpers in our Wondrous Woods room, enjoy drop-in Christmas crafts and complete our Christmas Trail in the galleries. You’ll also be able to meet his elves Oompa-Loompas who’ll be around the Museum keeping everything ship-shape.

The Museum galleries are open as usual for you to explore; try dressing up, drop-in crafts and enjoy interactive activities.

Come and say hello or wave from afar! No set times to book or queues, but you may have to wait your turn at busy times.

We’ll be serving hot and cold drinks, snacks and cakes from the Filling Station. Pick up delicious food from local suppliers, as well as some special Christmas treats.

Our Museum entry tickets allow you to visit the Museum for a whole 12 months, which means you can enjoy the Museum as many times as you like and make the most of our changing programme of events.
