Embrace the seasons on a guided Roald Dahl countryside walk; kick up some leaves, ramble through woods and listen to extracts from Roald Dahl’s My Year in the beautiful woods and fields that inspired the book.

This month we’ll be reading extracts from the April chapter of My Year, Roald Dahl’s last book. On this walk will learn about Roald’s childhood holidays and find out about some of the birds you might expect to see in spring.

£4 per person in addition to Museum entry

Option to pre-order a hot drink and scone to be waiting for you on your return for an extra £6 per person – please order by midday Thurs 25 April by emailing hello@roalddahlmuseum.org.

Walk route

The My Year walk leads you across fields and into Angling Spring Wood. There is a short, steep uphill section and a short, steel downhill section. Paths are unmade and may be muddy.  Please wear appropriate, sturdy footwear. Not suitable for buggies or wheelchairs.
